WHO WE ARE
BENEKIE FOUNDATION is a not-for-profit organization that aims at educating and developing women to become independent, have a healthy life and become change agents in society.
The foundation focuses on the sustainable development goal three (Good Health and Well-Being of Citizens). Among the activities carried out by the organization include, awareness creation on breast and cervical cancers, rural community health screenings, blood donation exercises and donations to less privileged homes and orphanages in Ghana.
We have organized health screenings at Adjen-Kotoku and Medie, blood donation exercise at Medie, health talk on cervical and breast cancers at Medie, Madina, Kutunse, Anyinam, Adjen-Kotoku,Dodowa and street education at Lapaz
As a foundation passionate about attaining goal 3 of the Sustainable Development Goals, we believe there is a need to be creative and use other sustainable measures to not only create awareness but also find solutions to healthy living.
Benekie Foundation seeks to be the largest avenue for education and support on women’s health.
Our mission is to use sustainable ways to create awareness and educate women on non communicable diseases and ensuring women have access to quality healthcare.
What We Do
- Education – Benekie foundation collaborates with other relevant stakeholders to educate individuals, schools and communities on women’s health specifically breast and cervical cancers. As well as other non communicable diseases.
- Advocacy – our mandate is to increase awareness on these non communicable diseases thus engaging all stakeholders to achieve a greater impact. This is done through community health education and screening, and also, the Health Fair.
- Donations – Through the support of friends and families, we frequently show love and support to children in the orphanages.
